Bangalore, Sep 08: Over 1600 runners came together on Sunday, September 6th, for the Stonehill Founder’s Day Run 2026, organised by Raadiant Sports and hosted by Stonehill International School, Bangalore. The annual run took participants through the rustic trails of Tarahunise village in North Bangalore, bringing together runners for a day of fitness, community and celebration.
The event is held annually to commemorate the founding of Stonehill International School and honour the vision of Mr. Jitu Virwani, Chairman of the Embassy Group, who established the School in September 2008. This year, the run supported Reach Lives, one of Bengaluru’s leading NGOs focused on empowering vulnerable children.
Over the years, the Run has evolved into a lively community celebration and has become a sought after event on the calendar of Bangalore’s fitness enthusiasts. From children and first-time-runners to veterans, participants of different ages and abilities come together to enjoy the experience. Beyond the run itself, the scrumptious breakfast, peppy music, the fun and lively zumba sessions and the warm and energetic atmosphere are other aspects that people look forward to.
The 2026 edition featured a diverse line-up of race formats, including the Half Marathon, 10K, 4 x 5K Corporate Relay (men, women, and mixed), as well as competitive and fun 5K categories. Corporate Teams from Toyota Kirloskar, Samsung, Miles To Trek, five teams of Cargill Runners Club and Aster RV Hospital joined the run, contributing to the lively atmosphere and adding to the spirit of the event. The Corporate Relay brought teams together across three categories, with Toyota Kirloskar taking the top position in the men’s category and Cargill Runners Club 5 leading the women’s category. Cargill Runners Club 8 secured first place in the mixed relay.

“It was wonderful to see the Stonehill community and runners from across Bangalore come together once again for the Founder’s Day Run. It is a privilege to host an event that has become a meaningful part of our annual calendar, and we look forward to building on that spirit in the years ahead.”
The Half Marathon saw Rajat Kumar finish first in the men’s category, recording a timing of 1:32:54, while Muskan Raina secured the women’s title with a time of 2:27:42. Paras Khushalani came in first in the men’s category clocking in 1:24:32 and Agnes Brunner came in first in the women’s category, recording a timing of 1:42:19. Vijayaraghavan Venugopal came in first in the men’s category recording a timing of 1:24:48 and Vidhi Sheth came in first in the women’s category, recording a timing of 1:41:54. Sudheer MC came in first in the men’s category, recording a timing of 1:41:47 while the women’s title was bagged by Lakshmi Sri V, clocking in 2:44:32. The first place in the men’s category was bagged by Gokul Kamath, recording a timing of 1:49:48.
In the 10K run, winners are as follows:

(31 to 40 years) – Uday Shankar Prasad; Anusha Setty
(41 to 50 years) – Jaison Dsilva; Ranjini
(51 to 60 years) – Taichi; Jagadeshwari
(61 years and above) – Ashok
In the 5K, winners are as follows:
(10 to 18 years) – Pratap; Kavya C
(19 to 40 years) – Santhosh Gowda K; Fumi Murata
(41 to 60 years) – Prashanth HS; Nishi Misri
(61 years and above) – Prakash C; Shobha Nayak.
