PM Modi’s Visit a “Great Blessing” for Sikkim: CM Prem Singh Tamang

New Delhi, Apr 28: In a message issued on the occasion of the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sikkim, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the people of the state, describing the visit as “a great blessing” and a moment of pride for Sikkim.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the Prime Minister’s effort in travelling from Kolkata despite a demanding schedule of responsibilities, engagements, and meetings. He stated that the Prime Minister’s presence had made the occasion truly special and deeply meaningful for the people of Sikkim.

Mr Tamang also extended heartfelt thanks to citizens from across the state who gathered from the early hours of the morning to welcome the Prime Minister, noting that the enthusiastic turnout reflected strong public affection and respect.

He further expressed appreciation to office bearers and functionaries of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha and the Bharatiya Janata Party, along with their frontal organisations, for their coordinated efforts. Gratitude was also conveyed to the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Ministers, MLAs, Advisors, Chairpersons, Political Secretaries, and other dignitaries of the Government of Sikkim.

The Chief Minister thanked the Chief Secretary, DGP, officials and staff of the state government, Police and Emergency Services, and officers from the Government of India for their dedicated service. He also acknowledged the contributions of NGOs, community and spiritual organisations, representatives of the 21 communities, ex-servicemen, students, sportspersons, SHGs, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, and various other groups for their presence and support.

Special thanks were extended to spiritual leaders, including Lamas, Jhakris, Pandits, and members of different spiritual organisations.

Concluding his message, the Chief Minister invited citizens to attend the programme scheduled on April 28, 2026, at Paljor Stadium, urging people to gather in large numbers by 8:00 AM to listen to the Prime Minister’s address and make the event grand and memorable.
