Noida, Aug 29: On the occasion of National Sports Day, Institute of Management Studies Noida organised a series of sports competitions and friendly matches for its students. The event featured football, volleyball, cricket and boxing, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their sporting talent, fitness and competitive spirit.
IMS Noida Sports Coordinator Ms. Reena Massey said that students displayed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship during the friendly football and volleyball matches. The cricket match added excitement to the event, with players demonstrating impressive skills in batting, bowling and fielding. In boxing, students showcased their fitness, confidence, discipline and determination.
She highlighted that sports play an important role in developing discipline, teamwork, leadership skills and self-confidence among students. “The enthusiasm and sportsmanship demonstrated by the students during the event were truly commendable. Through football, volleyball, cricket and boxing, students got an opportunity to understand the importance of healthy competition, cooperation and sportsmanship,” she said.
IMS Noida Vice President Mr. Chirag Gupta said that National Sports Day provides an opportunity to create awareness among students about the importance of sports and a healthy lifestyle. He added that the enthusiastic participation of students in activities such as football, volleyball, cricket and boxing reflects their commitment to physical fitness and overall personality development alongside academics.
“Our endeavour is to provide students with an environment where they are continuously encouraged to identify, explore and nurture their talents. Sporting activities not only promote physical well-being but also contribute significantly to confidence, teamwork, discipline and leadership,” he said.
