7th October 2025, Bangalore– On the occasion of World Heart Day, Aster RV Hospital successfully conducted the second edition of Heartathon, witnessing an overwhelming participation of about thousand runners.
The 7.2-mile run was flagged off by Mr. Tejasvi Surya, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, while the 3.6-mile run was inaugurated by Mr. Lokesh, a heart transplant recipient, symbolizing resilience and the gift of a second life.
Dr. Divakar Bhat, a cardiothoracic and a transplant surgeon and marathon enthusiast, brought Heartathon to life last year. Speaking on the occasion he said “We promise that Heartathon will become an annual flagship event of Aster RV Hospital, eagerly anticipated by health enthusiasts every year,”
The event turned out to be a grand success, creating awareness about the importance of heart health and celebrating the spirit of fitness, determination, and resilience.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tejasvi Surya said, “Events like the Heartathon not only encourage fitness but also remind us of the importance of preventive healthcare.
