
Hyderabad, 16th September, 2026: Sporting excellence continues to be a source of pride at The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, as its students have delivered outstanding performances across athletics and swimming, earning recognition at national and international levels.
At the CBSE Cluster VII Athletic Meet, Giri Krisha of Class XII secured the Gold Medal in the Under-17 Triple Jump, while Abhigna Panchangam of Class XI won the Silver Medal in the Under-17 Shot Put. Their strong performances have earned them a place at the CBSE National Athletic Meet in Punjab, scheduled to be held in October.
Both athletes have demonstrated remarkable dedication, discipline and determination through consistent training and practice. Their achievements have brought immense pride to their teachers, coaches, fellow students and the entire HPS Ramanthapur community.
Adding to the school’s sporting achievements, Pratham Vishal Galvankar of Class XI delivered an exceptional performance at the Students’ Olympic National Games, winning three Gold Medals in the Under-17 Swimming category. Pratham emerged victorious in the 50m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke and 200m Backstroke events, showcasing his skill and commitment to the sport.
His success has also opened an international opportunity, with Pratham being selected to represent India at the Students Olympic International Games in Malaysia, scheduled for December. The achievement marks a significant milestone in his young sporting journey and brings further recognition to HPS Ramanthapur’s commitment to nurturing talent beyond the classroom.
