Golfpark Holzhäusern, Switzerland: Indian golfer Pranavi Urs advanced to the weekend rounds of the Swiss Ladies Open after becoming the only Indian in the field to survive the halfway cut at Golfpark Holzhäusern.
Pranavi followed her opening-round 2-under 70 with another solid 2-under 69 to finish the first two rounds at 3-under 139, leaving her tied 28th on the leaderboard. Her consistent performance kept her firmly in contention as the tournament entered its weekend stage.
Her compatriots Tvesa Malik and Diksha Dagar were unable to make the cut. Tvesa improved to a 1-under 71 in the second round after opening with a 72, but finished at 1-over overall and missed the cut by one shot. Diksha, meanwhile, carded a difficult 78 following her opening 71 and ended the first two rounds at 7-over.
At the top of the leaderboard, Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjäll produced another impressive performance. Following her opening 64, she carded a bogey-free 66 to reach 12-under par, establishing a three-shot lead heading into the weekend.
Australia’s Whitney Hillier was her closest challenger at 9-under, while Spain’s Luna Sobrón Galmés and other leading contenders remained within striking distance.
Pranavi enters the weekend with an opportunity to climb further up the leaderboard after her encouraging performance. Her recent form has also provided momentum, following a tied-19th finish at last week’s PIF London Championship.
The Swiss Ladies Open is part of the Ladies European Tour, with the tournament being played at Golfpark Holzhäusern in Switzerland.
