
Hyderabad, 13 October 2025: Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management, one of the top colleges in India, the best for hospitality and culinary education initiated and organized the most prestigious Cricket tournament RPL (Regency Premier League 5.0) with a great aplomb at BSR grounds, Bandlaguda, Nagole.
Cricket is a gentleman’s game; one that embodies respect, fairness, and true sportsmanship. It’s more than just a sport; it’s emotion, teamwork, and pure passion. To celebrate everything this game stands for, for the fifth year in a row, RPL 5.0 brings together nine top Hotel Management colleges of the twin cities affiliated to NCHMCT & Osmania University on one ground.
The grounds were maintained by media committee, safety crew, maintenance team, medical team, gastronomy team, logistic team, the sports committee to make RPL 5.0 Grandeur.
These 3 exceptional days where 380 students along with Team Regency and 100 students from 9 Hotel Management colleges remained a lifetime memory to be a part of RPL 5.0. It’s been an extraordinary event boosted up by encouragement, cheering and active participation of all the students.
Opening ceremony was graced by lighting the marshal by Mr P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy, Principal, Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management; Mr Lakshmikanth, Alumni of Regency & CEO of UNI PLANET; Mrs. K.V. Uma Bala, Head of Department – Placements, Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management.
It was nail biting situation to witness the final fight towards winning the RPL after full of efforts, zeal of team brought them till here and IIHMCA have achieved victory by 5 wickets in hand bagging the title of CHAMPIONS OF RPL 5.0
The Regency Premier League (RPL 5.0) takes great pride in recognizing the hard work and talent of all its participants through a thoughtful and prestigious set of awards. The winning team honored with a trophy and a cash prize of ₹25,000/- sponsored by Regency College.
Outstanding individual performances in each game were acknowledged with “Man of the Match” mementos and certificates. To appreciate the spirit and commitment of everyone involved, all players received participation certificates, marking their valuable contribution to the event.
While the runners-up received a trophy to celebrate their dedication and strong performance. The tournament’s standout player celebrated with the “Man of the Series” award, recognizing consistent excellence throughout the competition.

These recognitions go beyond the game itself, they celebrate teamwork, perseverance, and the unforgettable experiences shared on and off the field, making RPL 5.0 a true celebration of cricket and camaraderie.

Principal of Regency college appreciated active participation from all the colleges and magnificent co-ordination between teammates to achieve summit success. Shared a positive view about cricket religion of India brings a platform to colleges fraternity to Hotel Management.
Team Regency congratulated all the winners, participants and members who whole-heartedly and with unflinching loyalty contributed to the success of the entire tournament.
