Antonio Conte hails “decisive” Rasmus Højlund after striker leads Napoli into EA SPORTS FC Italian Supercup final

Riyadh,  Dec 20:   Riyadh once again played host to elite European football as Napoli claimed a 2–0 victory over AC Milan at Al Awwal Park, securing their spot in the EA SPORTS FC™ Italian Supercup final.

Goals from David Neres and Højlund sealed the win for Napoli in front of a packed stadium, with fans from around the world filling the venue to witness the opening semi-final of the tournament.

Napoli head coach Antonio Conte praised Højlund’s performance, noting his growing impact on the team.

“Højlund has a very promising future and, whenever he plays for us, he gains experience and improves his ability. Today, he was decisive. These young players in my team have the power regardless of the circumstances. We are very strong and a difficult team for any opponent. This win gives us an advantage mentally,” said Conte.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri expressed disappointment for the local fans but acknowledged Napoli’s deserving victory.

“In such matches, usually players are nervous and, personally, I think Napoli deserved the win. We thank the fans, they were very close to us since our arrival. We apologise for disappointing them and will try to make it up by achieving our goals,” said Allegri.

With this result, Napoli advances to the Italian Supercup final, set to be held in Riyadh on 22 December 2025, where they will face the winner of the second semi-final between Bologna and Inter Milan, scheduled for 19 December 2025.
