14-Year-Old Sooryavanshi Smashes Record 175 as India U19 Dominate England in Final

In a stunning display of power-hitting, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi led India U19 to a massive 411/9 in the Under-19 World Cup final against England U19 at the Harare Sports Club on Friday. The 14-year-old smashed 175 off just 80 balls, hitting 15 fours and 15 sixes, dominating the English bowlers with fearless strokeplay and perfect timing.

Sooryavanshi put together a 142-run partnership with captain Ayush Mhatre, who scored 53 off 51 balls before being dismissed by Alex Green, who took two wickets in five overs. By the time Sooryavanshi got out, India were 251/3 in just 25.3 overs, with Sooryavanshi reaching his century in only 55 balls — one of the fastest in U19 World Cup final history. England managed to slow the scoring slightly, but a quick 37 off 20 balls by Kanish Chouhan helped India cross the 400-run mark, setting a huge target of 412 for England.

With this commanding total, India are in a strong position to claim a record sixth U19 World Cup title, thanks to Sooryavanshi’s sensational innings.
