St. George’s University Welcomes Education Agents from South Asia for Familiarization Program

India, 11 December 2024: St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, recently hosted its Familiarization Program, welcoming education agents and school counselors from India and around the world to its campus. The program offered a comprehensive overview of SGU’s medical curriculum and campus facilities, providing valuable insights into the university’s offerings.

During the visit, the delegates were introduced to the life of an SGU medical student and learned how the institution’s programs and tracks are designed to prepare students for real-world medical practice. The tour included exclusive access to SGU’s modern medical facilities, including specialist simulation and anatomy laboratories, clinical exam rooms, and a sonogram room and the campus security center.

In addition, the delegates explored other campus amenities such as the fitness and wellness center, health services clinic, and accommodation halls, gaining a holistic understanding of the university’s commitment to student support and well-being.

David Anthonisz, Executive Director of International Student Recruitment at St. George’s University, said: “The SGU Familiarization Program is essential for showcasing our facilities and providing education agents and school counselors the opportunity to interact with academic staff. These tours are meticulously designed to offer a first-hand experience of what SGU provides—both inside and outside the classroom—and demonstrate how our curriculum equips students with the critical skills and knowledge needed for successful medical careers.”

The visitors expressed their appreciation for SGU’s infrastructure, programs, and student-focused initiatives. Abhinav B. Gogoi shared: “SGU has an impressive level of campus security on and off campus, and I felt assured about the safety of students. My initial reservations were quickly addressed, and I was deeply impressed by the university’s infrastructure, qualified staff and the dedication to student well-being. The hospitality and warmth shown by SGU staff made me feel at home, offering reassurance for students and families considering SGU for their medical studies.”
