Any issue with these organs can greatly impact our quality of life. Fortunately, the ENT field is advancing rapidly, with technologies like Artificial Intelligence poised to revolutionize care. Today we can now use a 1.2 mm scope to view inside the salivary gland, enabling precise removal of stones and treatment of diseases. Speech, a crucial aspect of life, also falls under ENT, highlighting the specialty’s wide-ranging importance. We are honored that His Excellency, the Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, will inaugurate the conference on Friday, 18th October, with Shri Karunakar Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, attending as Guest of Honour. This event marks a pivotal moment as we explore how new technologies are transforming ENT care.
Dr N. Venkatram Reddy, Organising Secretary, AOI TG South Con – 2024; said; ENT specialists from five southern states are gathering here to showcase the latest technologies, innovative procedures, and research to enhance diagnosis and treatment for a range of conditions, from common ear, nose, and throat issues to congenital deafness. For children with hearing loss, cochlear implants offer hope, and for those unsuitable for cochlear implants, brainstem implantation is now an option. The conference will also highlight new treatments for snoring, such as nerve stimulation, and address various allergies and their advanced treatments. The goal of this event is to present cutting-edge solutions that improve patient care while reducing treatment costs.

The upcoming Conference promises to be an exciting forum for discussing cutting-edge advancements in ENT, in particular about minimally invasive surgeries and technological innovations in the field. Among the highlights will be a breakthrough technique in brain surgery performed through the eye. This minimally invasive procedure, involving only a small incision in the eye socket, minimizes tissue damage, reduces post-operative complications, and ensures a faster recovery for patients, revolutionizing how brain surgeries are approached.
Another remarkable topic on the agenda is the advent of robotic surgeries in ENT care, particularly for complex ear, nose, throat, and skull base surgeries. These procedures, being performed for the first time in this domain, allow access to areas where human hands struggle to reach, offering unparalleled precision and improving patient outcomes.
