Navratri is celebrated with great energy and excitement all over India. Each day of the festival holds special importance, as people offer prayers, fast, and enjoy traditional music and dance, especially Garba and Dandiya. Siddhant Issar, who plays the role of Malik in Star Bharat’s show ‘Shaitani Rasmein’, shared his plans and thoughts on this Navratri occasion.
Siddhant says “Navratri is very special to me because I love playing Garba. I get fully lost in the rhythm of the music during Garba. Being from Mumbai and an ex-student of Mithibai College, I used to attend all the Garba nights during my college days. I believe that every woman should be respected every day, not just during the nine days of Navratri. The energy around me during this time feels so positive and uplifting.”
He added, “For the last five years during Navratri, I’ve played Bhagwan Ram in the Ramleela in Delhi. It was an unforgettable experience, especially performing in front of 75,000 people on Dussehra, the day of Ravan Dahan. People even showed their respect by touching my feet. This year, since I’m busy shooting for ‘Shaitani Rasmein’, I’ll be missing it, but I will still do Ashtami Puja on the 8th day. I also have an 8-year-old niece, and I plan to take her shopping.”
Watch ‘Shaitani Rasmein’ Monday to Saturday at 10:00 pm only on Star Bharat.
