New Delhi, February 14th, 2025 – CanSupport, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing palliative care services for people with cancer and other serious illnesses, is organising its 18th annual Walkathon, titled, ‘Walk For Life – Stride Against Cancer’. It will be held at JLN Stadium, New Delhi on 16th Feb, 2025 from 8:00 am onwards. People of diverse backgrounds and different ages will come together to walk for a noble cause. With its usual 3km walk, a 5km run is being added this year.
Founder President of CanSupport, Harmala Gupta says: “CanSupport’s annual Walk for Life is a clarion call to all to defeat cancer. It is an opportunity to reunite with old friends as well as awaken new friends, especially the young, to the dangers of an unhealthy lifestyle. The spirit is one of comradeship as we walk together to show we care and express our hope for a better tomorrow”
Since 2008, CanSupport has been organising this event with the purpose of sensitizing the community about the rising incidence of cancer and to honour the memory of loved ones. Participation in the Walk has steadily grown in popularity over the years. Many schools, colleges, universities, and educational institutions have regularly participated in the Walk. In their last Walk, about 6,500 participants joined at the JLN Stadium.
