The Importance of Women’s Health: Endometriosis And Cell-Based Therapy

By Dr. Pradeep Mahajan, Regenerative Medicine Researcher & Founder of the hospital.

Worldwide, around 1 in 10 women of reproductive age (around 190 million women) have endometriosis, which makes it one of the most common yet misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed conditions. Understanding the role of cell-based therapy in endometriosis management.

A woman starts her day typically by looking out for others: family, children, work, and her responsibilities, leaving her health overlooked. Women’s bodies undergo several unique biological changes and deserve proper attention and care. They are the creators and nurturers of one’s life. Women have an important role in building families and society, and when a woman is strong and healthy, she supports not only herself but also the development of future generations.

During Endometriosis Awareness Month, it is important to discuss this conditions that affect several women but is misunderstood or just ignored.

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological condition where tissue grows outside the uterus lining. It commonly affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and pelvic lining. The tissue growth responds to hormonal changes and does not shed during monthly menstruation cycles, which leads to inflammation, pain, and the formation of scar tissue. Worldwide, around 1 in 10 women of reproductive age (around 190 million women) have endometriosis, which makes it one of the most common yet misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed conditions. It shows symptoms like severe menstrual cramps, chronic pelvic pain, heavy periods, digestive issues, tiredness, and infertility. As these symptoms are also typically mistaken for normal period pain, delayed diagnosis.

Conventional programmes focus on pain management, hormone therapy, or surgical removal of endometrial lesions. Modern scientific research is growing, exploring ways to meet the root cause, such as inflammation, immune imbalance, and cellular dysfunction associated with the condition.

Regenerative medicine helps the body’s natural healing processes and even enhances the tissue health. These methods aim to bring up cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and improve the biological environment of the reproductive system.

Women with pelvic tissue injury, chronic inflammation, hormonal imbalance, and fertility issues may benefit from such treatments. There is constant research and several other clinical investigations into these targeted therapies that enhance cellular energy, mitochondrial function, and tissue regeneration.

Several women with hormonal imbalances because of diseases like endometriosis have also reported changes in their general vigor, skin health, and hair quality. Skin aging, pigmentation, acne, and thinning hair can all be caused by stress, inflammation, and hormonal changes.

In today’s world, the aesthetic and regenerative therapies aim to boost hair growth, skin quality, and collagen synthesis to help women restore their self-esteem and overall well-being.

Women who prioritize their health and well-being strengthen their families, communities, and themselves.
