TIPS Globeducate Kochi celebrates its student ingenuity at MIRAIKAN ’25 with breakthrough projects

Kochi, September 02nd, 2025: The Indian Public School (TIPS) Globeducate Kochi, part of globally renowned education network Globeducate Group, on August 23, 2025 conducted its Science and Math Expo MIRAIKAN ’25. The event brought together students from Grades 6 to 12 who showcased their creative and innovative spirit demonstrating their knowledge, problem-solving skills, and application of scientific and mathematical concepts to real-life scenarios.

The expo was inaugurated by Mr. Joe Paul, General Manager (Civil), KMRL Kochi, in the presence of Ms. Mridula Vinod, Head of School, and distinguished judges Mr. Manoj V (Scientist, NPOL Kochi), Mr. Yedukrishnan (Scientist, NPOL Kochi), and Dr. Laxmi Karthikeyan (Engineer, ISRO Bengaluru). In a symbolic highlight, an astronaut character accompanied the Chief Guest for the ceremonial flag implantation, aligning with the expo’s theme: “Exploring the Edge.”

A total of 66 exhibits across Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, ICT, and Robotics were on display. From practical solutions to futuristic innovations, the projects reflected the students’ depth
of learning, teamwork, and vision for the future. The expo drew enthusiastic participation from parents, teachers, and special guests who engaged with the exhibits.

Prize Winners

  • First Prize: Vilok Sasindran & Sanchana P (AS & A Level) – Medical Robot
  • Second Prize: Adhvika (Grade 8) – Rain Detector and Cloth Collector
  • Third Prize: Timon Abraham Thomas & Rohan Anuroop (Grade 9) – Automatic Car Parking

Consolation Prizes were awarded to:

  • Siddharth G Thampi & Neeyl Sandeep (Grade 6)
  • Shradha Sunil Kumar & Ameya Krishna (Grade 9)

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jairam Balakrishnan, CEO of TIPS Globeducate, said: “At TIPS Globeducate, we believe that education must go beyond classrooms to inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. The event concluded with recognition of the participating students’ efforts and the announcement of winners. The expo not only celebrated academic excellence but also highlighted the importance of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration in shaping tomorrow’s innovators.
