French higher education group OMNES Education, which brings together 15 schools and 40,000 students, and operates offices in Bangalore and New Delhi, has appointed Marc-Henri Desportes as Executive President, effective September 1, 2025. He succeeds José Milano, who is stepping down from his role.
Marc-Henri Desportes joins OMNES Education from European digital payments company Worldline, where he served as Deputy CEO and then CEO from 2014 onwards. In his previous role in Wordline, Marc-Henri Desportes focused on India, developing a platform for local and international business, hiring thousands of employees and building numerous partnerships with Indian universities.
His leadership, recognised for both rigour and commitment, will be a valuable asset in supporting OMNES Education’s continued growth, strengthening its competitiveness, embracing innovation, and giving new momentum to its mission of promoting employability and success across the group’s fifteen schools. India is a strategic priority in this mission.
With offices in Bangalore and New Delhi, OMNES Education is deepening its engagement with students, universities, and industry partners across the country, reinforcing India as a key focus for the region.
Marc-Henri Desportes stated: “In a rapidly changing world, driven in particular by the rise of artificial intelligence, the challenge of education seems more crucial than ever. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that I take on the leadership of OMNES Education. I will dedicate all my energy and passion to its development and to the success of every student. I am also deeply convinced that we should continue building bridges with India, where I see immense opportunities for innovation, academic collaboration, and employability. India is indeed a country where I have always found remarkable energy, a strong will to progress, and a constant source of inspiration.”
