Gurugram: KIIT World School, Sohna Road Campus, celebrated its Founder’s Day to pay tribute to late B.R. Kamrah, the visionary founder of KIIT World of Education.
Late Baldev Raj Kamrah dedicated over six decades to the field of education, shaping the lives of thousands of students. He laid the foundation of leading institutions including KIIT World School and KIIT College of Engineering, known for imparting quality education with a focus on holistic student development.
The programme commenced with a two-minute silence, followed by soulful bhajans and the screening of a documentary highlighting his life and immense contribution to the education sector. School management and faculty members fondly recalled the values and vision he instilled in the institutions.
As part of the celebrations, distinguished alumni were honoured for their accomplishments. Shivani Tyagi received the Chhatra Shri award, while Shubham Yadav and Manish Kohli were conferred with the Chhatra Bhushan award. The Chhatra Vibhushan award was conferred to Kshimi Hok and Suchitta Katwal, and Jyoti Manik was felicitated with the Chhatra Ratna award.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of KIIT World School, Neelima Kamrah said, “Late B.R. Kamrah ji always believed education to be the most powerful medium for social transformation. For him, it was not limited to academics but extended to building values and shaping personalities. We remain committed to carrying forward his vision by walking on the path shown by him.”
