Heartfulness Launches HARI, India’s First Greenfield Private University

INDIA, 16 October 2025: The Heartfulness Organization is pleased to announce the formal launch of the Heartfulness Academy of Research and Innovation (HARI) – India’s first greenfield private university (deemed to be) approved by the Government of India. This moment marks a historic milestone in the Heartfulness Movement’s journey to integrate inner transformation with outer excellence through education.

Conceived under the visionary guidance of Daaji – Shri Kamlesh D. Patel, HARI represents a new paradigm in higher education, one that blends the timeless wisdom of India’s ancient traditions with the forefront of modern scientific and technological thought, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

A New Dawn in Education

HARI commences its academic journey in 2025 academic year itself with the School of Agriculture, offering programs in B.Sc. (Agriculture) and B.Sc. (Horticulture) — a reflection of our commitment to sustainable practices and scientific advancement rooted in respect for nature.

From the next academic year, HARI will expand with the establishment of the School of Engineering, School of Architecture, School of Management, School of Education, and School of Philosophy, introducing diverse programs such as B.Tech, B.Arch, BBA, MBA, B.Ed, and M.A. (Philosophy). Each program is being designed to nurture not only intellectual capability but also moral clarity, spiritual balance, and social responsibility.

Speaking on this landmark occasion, Revered Daaji – Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, shared, “Our vision for HARI is to create a crucible where ancient Indian wisdom and modern innovation meet – a university where students grow in intellect, in values, and in consciousness. True education must not merely inform; it must transform.”

At HARI, education is viewed as a journey of self-discovery and contribution, where the development of the individual is inseparable from the well-being of society and the planet. The University seeks to prepare graduates who are academically distinguished, morally grounded, and spiritually awakened – individuals capable of shaping a more compassionate, creative, and sustainable world.

Acknowledgments

Daaji extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India and the Government of Telangana for their invaluable support, encouragement, and guidance throughout this process.

We also express our deep appreciation to the eminent experts, scholars, and advisors from India’s leading academic and research institutions, whose insights and mentorship have been instrumental in designing HARI’s academic framework and curriculum. Their guidance and contributions not only helped us in securing the necessary approvals but also in crafting a curriculum that nurtures knowledge with purpose – equipping students with both timeless wisdom and contemporary skills, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to society, whether as professionals, innovators, or entrepreneurs.

A Future Rooted in Vision

Though HARI takes its first steps today, it does so on a foundation of grand vision, deep conviction, and global collaboration. Built upon the values of the Heartfulness movement and the legacy of Kanha Shanti Vanam – already a sanctuary of holistic learning, HARI aspires to become a beacon for integrated education, research, and innovation.

With a spirit of humility and profound confidence, we invite educators, and partners from across the world to join us in this transformative journey.

Admissions are now open for B.Sc. (Agriculture) and B.Sc. (Horticulture) programs. We invite aspiring students to join HARI and become part of this pioneering journey.
