South Indian Bank Donates Dialysis Units to Lisie Hospital

Kochi: June 26, 2025: As part of its ongoing commitment to community welfare and healthcare, South Indian Bank has donated 7 dialysis units to Lisie Hospital, Ernakulam, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This contribution aims to enhance access to quality dialysis care at affordable rates, benefitting patients from economically weaker sections.

 

The official handover ceremony was inaugurated by Shri V.J. Kurien, Chairman of South Indian Bank. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “We are honored to partner with Lisie Hospital, a trusted name in compassionate healthcare. By contributing to the dialysis care infrastructure, we hope to make quality treatment more accessible and affordable to those who need it most. Meaningful CSR efforts are those that touch lives directly, and we believe this initiative reflects the core values we stand for.”

Dr. Jose Chacko Periyappuram, Padma Bhushan 2025 awardee and Head of the Department, Cardio Thoracic Surgery at Lisie Hospital was also honoured at the event.

Lisie Hospital, under the Archdiocese of Ernakulam–Angamaly, currently performs around 100 dialysis procedures daily and is widely recognized for delivering quality healthcare at reasonable costs. The addition of these units is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to serve more patients.

The event was attended by Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Karedan, Director of Lisie Hospital, Joint Directors Fr. Rojan Nangelimalil and Fr. Reju Kannampuzha, Assistant Directors Fr. Jetto Thottungal and Fr. Davis Padannakkal, CFO Mr. Antony Puthussery, South Indian Bank Chief Operating Officer Anto George T, Senior General Manager and Corporate Banking Business Head Ms. Minu Moonjely, Ernakulam Regional Head Tinu Eden Ambatt, Assistant General Manager and Corporate Business Group- Kerala Head Dipin M and Kaloor Branch Manager Mr. Livin K. Sabu.
