Janmashtami is a festival of devotion that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna and inspires deep personal connections. As the festival approaches, Sahil Uppal, who plays Gagan in Sun Neo’s show Saajha Sindoor, has shared his love for Lord Krishna, his plans for celebrating the festival, and more.
Opening up about the significance of the festival, Sahil said, “Janmashtami is a time of joy and reflection for me. It celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, a symbol of love and righteousness. It’s a reminder to embrace kindness and compassion in our lives. The festival brings people together, and the atmosphere is always filled with positivity and devotion.”
Sharing his plans for this year, Sahil revealed, “I’ll be celebrating Janmashtami on the sets of Saajha Sindoor with my cast and crew. We recently shot a special Janmashtami sequence, which was filled with joy and excitement. We enjoyed makhan, sweets, dancing, and shared plenty of laughs. We’ll continue the celebrations on set, soaking in the festive spirit together.”
Reflecting on his special memories, Sahil said, “I haven’t portrayed Krishna yet, but I have a cherished memory from my childhood when I dressed up as Krishna for a celebration. I’ve always admired the depth and grace of Krishna, and I would love to play his character onscreen someday. If given the opportunity, I would approach the role with great respect and dedication, aiming to truly capture his essence.”
He added, “Lord Krishna’s teachings on staying true to oneself and performing one’s duties selflessly have greatly influenced me. His message from the Bhagavad Gita about focusing on our actions rather than the outcomes has helped me stay grounded and motivated in both my personal and professional life.”
