Punjab, September 01st, 2025: Canara Bank successfully concluded a two-day Financial Inclusion Saturation Camp, led by its Regional Offices at Jalandhar and Ludhiana, aimed at promoting financial literacy and strengthening customer engagement across villages in Punjab.
The Regional Office Jalandhar organized Financial Inclusion Saturation Camps on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Village Dagham under the Garhshankar Branch and Village Sanghe Khalsa under the Uppal Khalsa Branch. Continuing the initiative, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, the Regional Office Ludhiana also conducted Mega FI Saturation Camps at Gram Panchayat Salana and Gram Panchayat Kotla Bajwara, District Fatehgarh Sahib.
The events were graced by Sh. R P Jaiswal, General Manager, Head Office Bengaluru, Sh. Manoj Kumar Das, General Manager, Sh. Ved Prakash, Deputy General Manager, Circle Office Chandigarh, and Sh. Vishwajeet Singh Raghuvansi, Regional Head, Jalandhar, Sh. M S Moti, Lead District Manager, Jalandhar, Sh. R C Meena, Regional Head, Ludhiana, Mrs. Suman Sahota, Lead Bank Manager, Dist. Fatehgarh Sahib. Local leaders, including MLA Sh. Jai Kishan Rouri, Sh. Prince, Sarpanch Smt. Baljit Kaur, Panchayat member Sh. Major Singh, Mr. Amarjit Singh, Sarpanch, Vill. Kotla Bajwara, Mr. Azadwinder Singh, Sarpanch, Vill. Salana Jiwan Singh Wala, and Mr. Avtar Mohammad, Sarpanch, Vill. Salana Dulla Singh Wala also attended the camp.
Speaking at the event, Sh. R P Jaiswal, General Manager, Head Office Bengaluru, Canara Bank, elaborated on various Financial Inclusion products such as PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, and SSA, encouraging all the participants to enroll in these financial security schemes. He also gave detailed presentations on Canara Bank offerings like Canara Angel and Canara Aspire. Sh. Manoj Kumar Das, General Manager, emphasized the importance of Re-KYC/CKYC of savings bank accounts to get hassle-free banking services. He highlighted the active role played by Canara Bank in reaching customers and the timely disposal of claim settlements under the PMJJBY and PMSBY schemes.
At the Dagham camp, cluster branches Garhshankar, Mahilpur, and Kot Fatuhi sourced 35 PMJDY, 50 PMSBY, 12 PMJJBY, and 7 APY applications, while at the Sanghe Khalsa camp, cluster branches Uppal Khalsa, Nurmahal, and Kot Badal Khan sourced 60 PMJDY, 160 PMSBY, 25 PMJJBY, and 10 APY applications.
On Saturday, the Ludhiana camps witnessed participation from over 200 customers from nearby villages. During the programme, more than 100 enrollments under PMSBY, 55 under PMJJBY, and 45 under APY were completed, along with the updating of 12 Re-KYC cases.
All the dignitaries interacted with participants, appreciated the quality of customer service provided by Canara Bank branches, and assured them of continued support towards the Bank.
The two-day event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks.
