Valluru, Andhra Pradesh 28th July 2025: The Waterbase Limited successfully organised an Aqua Meet in Valluru, West Godavari; continuing its mission to strengthen the capabilities of India’s shrimp farmers. The session focused on Best Management Practices tailored for the ongoing monsoon season, a period known for unpredictable weather, water quality fluctuations, and disease risks in shrimp farming.
The gathering was addressed by Mr. Shakti, General Manager at The Waterbase Limited. The event provided farmers with actionable strategies to safeguard their crops. Key topics included effective aeration to prevent dissolved oxygen (DO) depletion, adjusting feed during and after heavy rainfall, maintaining pond bottom hygiene, and avoiding unverified chemical inputs.
“Rain-induced stress can significantly impact shrimp health and farm profitability,” said Mr. Shakti. “But with the right knowledge and timely action, farmers can overcome these challenges and ensure a stable harvest. Aqua Meets like this are designed to bridge that gap between science and field-level practice.”
The session saw participation from 140+ farmers, who appreciated the timely technical support during the critical monsoon crop phase.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Chola Varma Alluri, Chief Operating Officer of The Waterbase Limited, said, “At Waterbase, we remain deeply committed to supporting shrimp farmers through high-quality products, expert technical guidance, and dependable ADC services. The encouraging feedback we receive from the shrimp market reinforces our belief that consistent field engagement makes a difference. We wish all the shrimp farmers continued success and are proud to stand beside farmers as partners in their journey.”
The Valluru event is part of a larger series of Aqua Meets conducted by Waterbase across Andhra and other shrimp farming regions. These sessions reaffirm the company’s long-standing commitment to farmer education, sustainable aquaculture, and improved livelihoods through consistent field engagement and expert-led initiatives.
