AISECT Signs MoU with Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College, Kolkata to Provide Skill Training and Employment Opportunities in Finance and Accounting for Underprivileged Youth

Taking a significant step towards inclusive youth development and economic empowerment in the country, India’s leading social enterprise AISECT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College, Kolkata, in collaboration with Genpact, an advanced technology services and solutions company. This partnership will deliver industry- oriented training and employment-related capacity building in the finance and accounting sector.

Skill BUILD – A Genpact CSR initiative aims to offer employment-oriented training to 450 youth from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with a family income of

₹8 lakhs per annum or less. The selected students, currently in the final year of their undergraduate courses, will receive opportunities for placement in reputed corporate and service sector companies after completing the training.

Key highlights of the program include:

  • Industry-standard training for 450 underprivileged youth
  • Special focus on Financial Accounting, Banking, and Soft Skills
  • Dedicated placement assistance after training
  • Career opportunities in the Financial Operations, Customer Service (Voice & Non- Voice) sectors

AISECT, with over two decades’ experience in digital literacy, skill development, education, and employment generation in rural and underserved regions, has impacted the lives of over 6 lakh youth through various CSR initiatives. With strong systems in place to deliver skills to the last mile through corporate partnerships, AISECT continues to bridge the skills gap at the grassroots level.

The training program will be conducted at the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College, Kolkata campus, where AISECT’s expert team will use an industry-aligned curriculum and teaching methodologies to prepare students for entry- level roles with high potential in India’s rapidly growing financial sector.
