A Nostalgia-Led Evening of Music, Dance & Community
Mumbai, 17th March 2026 – WalkAbout, a community platform for active agers (55+) in India, is hosting a school & college farewell nostalgia-themed social evening, “Senior Ball Night” at the Pioneer Hall in Bandra on the 22nd of March, 6 PM, for older adults. The evening features a live band, Bhangra and jive sessions, and interactive activities.
The idea is simple: give older adults an evening that feels like the best parts of a school reunion. Get dressed up, dance with friends, sing along to familiar music with a live band, and make new friends along the way. The Senior Ball Night follows WalkAbout’s Senior Games held in December, continuing the platform’s approach of creating nostalgia-led, community-first experiences for this age group.
Guests are invited to attend solo, with friends, or as couples, reinforcing WalkAbout’s belief that celebration is about participation and belonging.
Deval Delivala, Founder & CEO of WalkAbout, said: “Over the past year, we’ve been building nostalgia-led experiences for older adults, from our Senior Games in December to now, Senior Ball Night. It’s about bringing back the joy of school annual days: dressing up, dancing with friends, and singing along to retro music with a live band. This demographic doesn’t need to be managed. They need to be engaged. And that starts with creating spaces both physical and virtual, where connection, purpose, and community thrive.”
Why Host A Senior Ball Night?
India’s older adult population is growing. But social events and experiences designed specifically for this group are still few and far between. Across Mumbai, active agers are looking for spaces where they can socialise, have fun, and feel like the evening was made for them. Yet most social events and entertainment experiences in India are designed for younger demographics. Senior Ball Night addresses that gap.
By inviting older adults to dress up, dance with friends, and sing along to familiar songs. WalkAbout is creating an evening where older adults can come as they are with family or friends, connect over shared memories, and simply have a good time.
