Ayodhya, the sacred city deeply rooted in faith and heritage, is set to host the 4th Edition of ‘Run For Ram’ on 22nd February 2026 at Ram Katha Park, Ayodhya. Organised by Kreeda Bharati, established under the guidance of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the upcoming edition promises a powerful confluence of spirituality, physical fitness, and community participation.

Inspired by the life, discipline, and values of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, Run For Ram has evolved into a purpose-driven marathon that goes far beyond competition. Set against the historic and spiritual landscape of Ayodhya, the event draws inspiration from the ancient 14-Kosi Parikrama, symbolising endurance, focus, and inner strength long before the era of modern marathons.
Back with renewed energy in its fourth edition, Run For Ram is likely to assemble more than 10,000 participants from all over India and the world. The event provides a common platform for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, families, first-time runners, senior citizens, and devotees, making it a celebration of collective wellness. The event will also see the gracious presence of Shri Mansukh L. Mandaviya, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, thus emphasising the national importance of the marathon.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Awanish Kumar Singh, State President, Kreeda Bharati Uttar Pradesh, said,
“Run For Ram symbolises the age-old Indian thought that a healthy body is the foundation of a healthy character. This social initiative by Kreeda Bharati promotes people to lead a healthy lifestyle while remaining grounded in the values of Shri Ram.”
Stree India Sports Foundation joins as the Knowledge Partner to drive female participation and advocate for ‘Run For Ram’ as a movement where women and girls can demonstrate inner strength and become key contributors to national well-being.
Sharing another perspective, Shri Bhanu Sachdeva, State President, Kreeda Bharati Delhi, said,
“The essence of Run For Ram is the fact that it brings people together through fitness, devotion, and a common goal, and that makes it a very inspiring national event.”
The marathon will feature four professionally timed race categories, supported by RFID technology and comprehensive on-course facilities to ensure a smooth and well-organised running experience. Participants can choose from the 42 km and 21 km runs, both open to individuals aged 18 years and above, the 10 km run for participants aged 12 years and above, and a 3 km run open to all age groups, encouraging participation across generations.
With a total prize pool of ₹15,00,000, the prizes will be distributed across all race categories, encouraging participants at all levels to take part in the event with enthusiasm and dedication.
Adding an international dimension to the event, Kreeda Bharati has extended invitations to embassies and ambassadors from countries that share cultural and historical links with the journey and legacy of Shri Ram. Several international representatives have already confirmed their presence, reflecting the global resonance of Shri Ram’s values and the growing international recognition of Run For Ram as a cultural and fitness movement.
Over the last three years, Run For Ram has witnessed fervent response from thousands of runners and Ram’s followers, and it has gradually developed into a mass movement across the country. With this edition, Kreeda Bharati is furthering its mission to promote physical fitness, discipline, and spiritual awareness across all generations.
The organisers are confident that this upcoming edition Run For Ram will help establish Ayodhya’s position as a spiritual and cultural capital once again and will help spread the message of unity, health, and holistic well-being.
