India Watch Weekend 2026 Brings Together 1,000 plus Collectors and Global Brands in Mumbai

Mumbai, M ar 07: India’s watch community witnessed a landmark moment as India Watch Weekend 2026, organised by The Hour Markers in association with HSBC, concluded successfully at the Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. The two-day event brought together more than 1,000 collectors, enthusiasts, and industry leaders, marking a significant step in positioning India as a serious global watch culture hub.

Featuring 25+ sessions and participation from over 18 international watch brands, the event created a unique platform where collectors, brand executives, independent watchmakers, and first-time enthusiasts engaged in discussions that went beyond traditional retail showcases. The gathering highlighted the growing maturity of India’s watch community, where conversations focused on craftsmanship, collecting strategies, and the cultural significance of timepieces.

Unlike conventional exhibitions, India Watch Weekend emphasized participation and dialogue. Collectors interacted directly with brand leaders, explored watchmaking techniques, and attended masterclasses that covered both technical and cultural aspects of horology. Sessions often extended beyond the scheduled time as participants continued discussions in informal settings throughout the venue.

Key discussions during the weekend addressed topics such as the investment potential of watches, how to start a watch collection, the evolution of iconic timepieces, and the role of women in reshaping the luxury watch industry. The candid exchanges between collectors and brands reflected a more informed and analytical watch community in India.

Hands-on learning experiences were a major highlight of the event. Attendees disassembled watch movements by Panerai, studied mechanical energy transmission in timepieces from A. Lange & Söhne, and explored the craftsmanship behind luxury watchmaking. Additional cultural experiences included an olfactive masterclass by Jaeger-LeCoultre and a guided sake experience curated by Grand Seiko, linking watchmaking with sensory storytelling and cultural heritage.

The event also attracted international attention, with collectors, media representatives, and guests travelling from across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Participation from Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) added further depth to the event, with the FHH Quiz hosted by Pascal Ravessoud becoming one of the most engaging highlights of the weekend.

Industry participants noted the unexpectedly high level of technical engagement from Indian collectors, reinforcing the view that India is evolving from a retail market into a knowledge-driven watch community.

India Watch Weekend reflects the growing confidence and sophistication of watch enthusiasts in the country. The platform aims to create a space where collectors actively participate in shaping watch culture rather than simply observing it.

Following the success of this year’s edition, the organisers have confirmed that the next edition, India Watch Weekend 2027, will be announced soon.
