Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) proudly hosted the 1st IEEE International Conference on Advances in Next-Gen Computer Science (ICANCS-2025)  The event was organized by the Departments of CSE and CSE (AI & ML) in association with the IEEE Bangalore Section.

ICANCS-2025 brought together leading researchers, academicians, industry experts, and student innovators to explore cutting-edge advancements in computer science. The accepted papers showcased high-quality research across four major conference tracks:

  •     Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
    • Cybersecurity & Blockchain Technologies
    • Data Science & Big Data Analytics
    • Next-Gen Networks & Internet of Things

GCEM extended its sincere appreciation to the distinguished Chief Guest and Keynote Speakers: Dr. Viraj Kumar, IISc; Dr. Deepak K. Sinha, Deputy Director, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore; Dr. Vaidehi Vijaykumar, Professor, VIT Chennai; and Dr. Mohanraj Vengadachalam, Senior Software Architect, Applied Materials.

Appreciation was also expressed to Sarada Prasad Kar, CEO, Gopalan Foundation – Gopalan Group of Institution; Dr. Arun Vikas Singh, Principal, GCEM; Dr. Swathi Y, HoD – CSE & Conference Chair; and Dr. Manoj Challa, HoD – CSE (AI & ML) & Conference Co-chair, whose visionary leadership, encouragement, and belief in the students played a pivotal role in the success of ICANCS-2025.

The Best Paper Award was presented to “Bridging the Clinic-to-Community Gap: A Deep Learning Approach for Accessible Medical Information in Kannada”, authored by P. Prajwal and team from Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore.

As ICANCS-2025 concluded, the institution moved forward with renewed energy and purpose—carrying the spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and innovation that defined this landmark event.
