Mumbai, 3rd October, 2025: India’s first AI-native nutrition app, with more than 5,000+ early sign-ups already in queue, Nutriiya is set to transform the way India approaches healthy eating.
Built from the ground up to understand regional dishes and traditional Indian cooking styles, Nutriiya addresses a gap that global nutrition trackers often fail to solve – accurately tracking caloric and nutritional information of Indian cuisine. Its AI is factored to be able to measure everyday portions such as a katori of daal, a ladleful of curry and half a roti.
The app is powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision. It can identify more than 50,000 Indian dishes by simply scanning a photo of the plate. Once recognised, it adapts to individual dietary needs by offering personalised insights, recommendations and health tips.
“Nutriiya is designed for health-conscious Indians across all age groups but our core demographic falls between ages 22–45, including urban millennials, Gen Z professionals, fitness enthusiasts, and young parents,” said Avanish Agarwal, Founder of Nutriiya. “In our pilot waitlist data, over 60% of early sign-ups were working professionals managing stress, lifestyle diseases, or fitness goals and they wanted something Indian, intelligent, and intuitive.”
Nutriiya also holds potential beyond individual users. By integrating with healthcare providers, the app can support preventive care, lifestyle disease management, and community health initiatives.
To mark its launch, Nutriiya will offer free access for all users during the first month. More than an app, it is positioned as a movement to build a healthier and more aware India, one plate at a time.
