Designyatra 2025: Day 3 closes with colour, AI provocations and a dance floor finale

Panaji, Goa, 08th September 2025: The final day of Designyatra 2025 ended on a high, weaving together the vibrancy of human creativity with urgent reflections on artificial intelligence. With over 950 delegates still in full force, Day 3 showed that design is as much about joy and spectacle as it is about reckoning with the future.

The morning began with Kris Andrew Small (Artist), whose kaleidoscopic visuals and bold typographic play turned the screen into a riot of colour and energy. His session was a reminder that design can, and should, be loud, unapologetic and celebratory.

Next, Dev Valladares (Design Generalist & Creative Technologist) delivered a presentation-meets-demo that had the audience on their feet in applause. Merging sharp ideas with live experimentation, he embodied the restless curiosity at the heart of design innovation.

Tony Brook (Founder, Spin Communications Ltd) then brought his clean, modernist perspective to the stage, reflecting on the timeless value of clarity, grids and discipline in communication design. His talk anchored the day with a reminder that elegance often comes from restraint.

Shifting gears, Lani Adeoye (Founder, Creative Director, and Designer, Studio-Lani) explored design through the lens of heritage and craft. With a practice rooted in African traditions, she spoke about turning cultural memory into contemporary objects, reminding the audience that identity is a powerful design material.

From there, Artificial Rome’s Giuliana Pignataro showcased immersive projects that straddle the line between digital artistry and interactive storytelling. Her work pushed delegates to think about how technology isn’t just a tool, but a stage for emotional connection.

Then came Marina Esmeraldo(Artist & Illustrator), who turned her session into a party. Known for her vibrant, sun-soaked illustrations, she ended with an impromptu dance break that spilled joy across the hall, proving that sometimes the best response to a heavy theme is to move your body.

The final talk belonged to Gab Bois (Multidisciplinary Artist), whose surreal, playful takes on everyday objects blurred art, fashion and meme culture. Her work left the audience both amused and unsettled, perfectly capturing the tension between digital ephemera and enduring creativity.

Threaded through the day was a bigger conversation about artificial intelligence: how it is already shaping the creative process, what it threatens, and what it enables. If anything, Day 3 showed that the design community is not shying away from these questions, it’s dancing straight into them.

The anti-disciplinary conference then gave way to more Sidequests or intimate workshops where curiosity and collaboration took over, while musician and sound designer Chiara Luzzana played a live DJ set that had the delegates in awe.

As night fell, the conference gave way to the 2025 Kyoorius Design Awards and the 2025 Kyoorius Young Blood Awards Night, both presented by Zee, a crescendo of celebration that recognised excellence across the industry and welcomed the next generation of talent.

Three days, 950+ delegates, dozens of talks, workshops and sidequests later, Designyatra 2025 signed off not just with answers, but with provocations. And true to its theme, every session asked, in its own way: So What?

Designyatra 2025 is presented by Zee.

The conference features creative labs by Target, Pantone and Uniball and creative grounds by Tokushu Tokai Papers, Ark | Maxon and PaperMonday.

Designyatra 2025 is hosted at Taj Cidade de Goa, Horizon, and crafted by Fosite, with creative experiences powered by The Product Lab.
